We’re pushing for real action to tackle global warming and the opportunity for thousands of people to work in the renewable energy industry, but we can’t do it alone
With your support we can drive the transition of our economy from coal to renewables, reduce household power bills and create thousands of jobs.
Transition to a Clean Energy Future
You can’t create a 21st century economy with a 19th century energy system. Coal pollutes our air, damages our health and makes global warming worse. It hitches our economy to the industries of the past not the future.
We are all paying a huge amount of our income on electricity costs. Rising costs means we’re spending less on other essentials.
Only the Greens have the courage and vision to ensure WA takes action on global warming.
Clean energy is the key to creating jobs in the new economy and reducing household power bills.
As our State transitions to 100% clean energy, we will create at least 25,000 new jobs in construction, manufacturing, research and development, installation, maintenance, administration, sales and management positions. The transition to renewable energy will help grow small businesses and build new enterprises.
The Goldfields’ region is one of the best in the world for large scale solar power due to its abundant sunshine. We will support industry that promote the natural advantages of the Goldfields.
The Greens plan for Collie to transition to be one of WA’s future renewable energy hubs. Doing so would create thousands of jobs in clean energy industries and secure Collie’s future in the face of concerns over the viability of the coal industry.
The Greens have a package to allow every Western Australian to embrace the household solar and battery storage revolution. Powering the new economy with clean will revolutionise our energy system, enabling Western Australians to save money, use more of their own renewable energy and tackle global warming.
We’re pushing for real action to tackle global warming and the opportunity for thousands of people to work in the renewable energy industry, but we can’t do it alone.
The Genuine Alternative
We need leaders with the courage and vision to take action to invest in the new economy and ensure we have affordable and accessible health and education services people need.
From bringing integrity back into government to drug reform to switching from coal to renewables, we will take action to put forward the visionary ideas and courageous solutions WA needs, and the practical steps we need to take to get there, but we can’t do it alone.
